I threw up a few pics from Kevin’s camera from the last few days up here including some Ultimate frisbee sweaty bodies, some smoked meat at Schwartz’ and a great firework show from Portugal.

New Backgammon Board
Thanks to Kev and Lu I now have a fantastic new backgammon board since my last one literally fell apart. I still need to get some proper pieces for this one (right now I’m using my crokinole pieces) – there will be many fun happenings with this on hand…

I sent this out to a bunch of people via email already but for those who want it that I didn’t send it to; here’s some foosball logo’s for your desktop.
1280×1024
1024×768
800×600
If there’s other sizes you’d like just let me know…
And if you want to know how I made it, I took a picture of my own foosball man, cut him out and colored it – check out this pic
Next, I think I’m gonna make some tshirts with this logo on white t’s with red ringers, anyone want one?

Every once in awhile I’ll put in some of my absolute favorite recipes, today it’s for the best brownies ever courtesy of Tanya Bargen. These are gooey, moist and even I can make them!
Never Fail Brownies
1 cup butter (or marj)
3 tbsp cocoa
2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
optional: 1 cup nuts
Melt butter in a pot, mix in brown sugar, then the rest of the ingredients. Pour into a 12 X 8 pan and bake at 325 for 30 minutes.

Sask lost a game they really should have had against TOR this weekend. They were up most of the game and just let it slide in the late 4th; TOR got two quick touchdowns to win the game they shouldn’t have even been in. Heidi was on the edge of her seat and screaming at the TV for the roughriders to win, sadly, she went unheard. Lesson learned for the silo boys.
Oh, regarding my team (the TiCats), they’re still sucking (0-2) and really proving to be the team to not lose to again this year. Maybe in 10 to 15 years they’ll have a decent team again; when McManus is finally given the boot.
Speaking of football, on the Friday double header, I was watching so much TSN that I almost went beserk watching those Wendy’s ads over and over. I complained to Heidi so much that she said you have to do something about it. So she ‘made’ me buy a PVR from bell. So, now I’m content and a good snuggle mate during football season with no commercials. Sweet!
Heidi and I have just arrived at half of our married life in Montreal, strange isn’t it?! We’ve lived here for half of the time that we’ve lived together – I guess when I think about it, it has been awhile since I lived in Toon town.
Lastly, I learned today that it’s the 40th anniversary of my beloved Slurpee!! Today when it’s 38C with humidex I could really go for one but sadly, those little guys never made it out to QC
