Well, my former favorite TV show, La Femme Nikita, has recently released S4 of its catalogue and shortly thereafter announced that S5 is coming out in October, thus completing the set.
Now, once Seinfeld starts releasing some more seasons, I’m going to be really excited!

On the flight home from San Fran yesterday, Heidi and I were so pumped because it looked for a bit that we were going to have a seat free next to us giving us 3 seats for 2 people. Unfortunately, it was not to be as a person from a different part of the plane wanted to change seats cause she had no armrest.
After a bit of conversation with our new neighbor we discovered that she has authored one of our favorite books on fun places to eat in Montreal for cheap which has led us to so many of our best eats. We spent a bit of time chatting about what her work is like, how she finds her restaurants (she recommends chowhound) and we got an insider tip on good Mexican food in MTL (she says El Sombrero or Maria Bonita are good). What a fun experience!

With Jason Maas not starting as quarterback for the TiCats on Friday the backup, Eakin, did nothing letting Hamilton get throttled 29-0; at least we’re a respectable 1-6. Sadly this isn’t their first shutout in the last little while which really adds to the embarrasment. Oh well, at least Sask won…

Today, we spent much of our day touring around San Francisco doing things that have been done on So, I Married An Axe Murderer such as going to the Fog City Diner (being electrocuted?) and taking the Alcatraz tour (here’s something the other tour guides won’t tell you). I don’t think we meant for it to happen that way specifically but we weren’t disappointed that it did. Man, I miss that movie. Must watch again…

…yeah, what about a stink blossom??

Heidi and I are in San Francisco this week and, as yesterday was our anniversary, we went out for our anniversary supper to The Stinking Rose. It is a garlic-y restaurant that would make Heidi’s family blush with pride (is 100% garlic still just the right amount?) After being cracked for a Heinekin (which I really didn’t want anyways) we had a fine time – the food was great! Pictures will follow when I get home…

I really don’t care too much about either Winnipeg or Edmonton (with the exception of Rob Brown in Edmonton) but the game on Friday had possibly the greatest finish I have ever seen in a CFL football game.
With 15 seconds left in the game, Edmonton gets a 9 yard 2-point converted touchdown to lead the game by 3 points. So, Winnipeg needs 3 points on the last play of the game on their own 10 yard line (that’s 100 yards to the other end) and Glenn spots Stegall, wide open in man to man coverage, who runs it all the way for a touchdown to win the game. It was stunning that Edmonton faked the blitz on the last play of the game and didn’t just back up to mid field and let WPG have whatever they wanted. Tough way to lose for EDM but an incredibly dramatic win for WPG. Watching WPG’s coach Berry leap and jump down the sidelines was awesome.

As has been our tradition for the last year and a half, we’ve had Jeff and Marisa over for breakfast pretty much whenever there’s an F1 race on. This morning we had a little mixup on the breakfast so we both had some prepared so we got both the delicious sweet pancakes from Jeff (which had creative letter shapes to them, J, M, H&B), and also the savory Bacon McMuffin’s (with egg and cheese) from Heidi. What a great Sunday morning!

Unfortunately, out Saturday Beach Party got totally rained out
We went for a ride into Ontario (to Voyager park) and pretty much right after we paid $10 to get into the park, the clouds overhead unleashed their fury. After a few games of backgammon and the rain still not letting up we decided to turn our picnic into a Jeep-picnic. Once we were done that the rain let up a bit and we toured the soaked facilities and went home shortly after.
We made a day out of it by going to Notre Dame de Lourdes Silence Camp Retreat centre, to Ikea to return some stuff, watching the F1 qualifying (yeah Ferrari!), going to Parc avenue to catch some cheap pastries and reorganizing my webpage so that I have sections for the CFL, NHL and the mice. All in all, a pretty awesome Saturday, I gotta say! Now, off to see what’s happening with Montreal Alouettes vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers…

My beloved Ti-Cats just won their first game of the year to go 1-4; this comes after the releasing of Marshall as their head coach, the reinstating of Lancaster at his old position, no more Boreham kicking (missing) field goals and Holmes back in the lineup. I was on the edge of my seat through most of the game, for Vaughn getting his catch to get the most career receptions passing Darren Flutie and the new kicker, Myers, hitting the last play field goal to win the game for Hamilton. I’ll sleep well tonight
