2009 Lent season

This year for lent I decided to take up reading some books. My goal is to finish 5 books before Easter comes. So far, I’ve read the Watchmen comic which was actually a pretty big read but sadly probably doesn’t meet my criteria of a book actually being spiritually beneficial, so I’m still at zero read. I’m about half way done reading Brad Jersak’s, Kissing the Leper and after that I have four more books to read and only 2 more weeks to go – I’m in big trouble.
Sounds like your Lent resolution (also adding a spiritual practise rather than giving something up) has been as successful as mine! My Lenten goal was to pray a protestant version of the rosary daily (so, daily, consentrated, contemplative, uninterrupted prayer). Most days that I even try I end up falling asleep in the middle! *sigh*
Way to go man! I’m so proud of you! Kissing the Leper is a fantastic book. Have you read “Eve” yet? That has to be my favorite story so far. I’ve read it once already and am wanting to read it again (Jenn’s reading it right now).
Watchmen is pretty dark eh?!
