In-N-Out Burger

I absolutely love In-N-Out Burger. The basic menu is extremely simple (burger, fries, drink, milkshake) and the secret menu (and super secret) has a few different combinations of their basic ingredients (I always get the animal style burger, which I even found a precise recipe for). The clientele are more diverse than any other restaurant and they’re presently the third highest rated restaurant in all of Los Angeles on tripadvisor (I’ve seen them as high as #1). The burgers are amazing (and cheap) and the fries are good but probably the weak point in their slim menu.

I’m always excited to go to California as I know I’ll be able to squish in a visit here at some point.

    Documentary about the rise of Air Guitar in the States and it's popularity worldwide. The first few minutes it seems to be really bizarre to be taken so seriously but by the end it begins to seem much more normal.

    Far too slow with little plot at all. I understand that it was going for character development more so than plot but it seemed to just drop every character that it started a story with, the insomniac at the beginning, Ken, the drunkard and ultimately Mary who seemed to become the lead character by the end. No closure and way too little happening.

  • Higher Ground (2011) 8/10

    On Kevin's recommendation, Heidi and I watched this movie and we were glued to the screen throughout. It's the story of a woman's acceptance and struggle with her faith. I have no idea who I could recommend this to as it can be a bit crude for a Christian movie and a bit boring for those who like more' entertaining' movies. Nevertheless, her openness is powerful, "I gave my heart outright. I'm telling you today, I'm still waiting for Him to make Himself at home. I feel like I live in an empty place."

    YVR > SJC - kind of a zany concept but it works relatively well, not a great boxing movie but not too bad.

  • The Guard (2011) 8/10

    This movie came well recommended to me and it was a good, strange and profanity laced comedy. The main character was profound, confusing and yet remarkably consistent and believable. Some good lines in there and a nice change of pace from an action movie loaded with action to this one which seems to try to avoid it at every turn.

This one took a long time but I finally finished the Woodman boss scene and in turn, finished the whole second panel. Next, I’m off to do Airman (who is the 7th of 8 total) – see my others here.

Google Music Beta

I received a beta invitation to Google Music and immediately started uploading my music collection to be able to stream from the cloud to any computer or android phone. This will allow me to have my entire catalog of music (up to 20k tracks!) on google music and listen to anything I want to over my android phone without having to take up a ton of sd card space. As long as I have 3G or Wifi, I’m good; if I don’t, I can have it pre-download whatever I’d like to have it store locally. In my quick tests, I’m excited about what it appears to be able to do – this may allow me to ditch music stored locally – we’ll see…
